GrubHub does “checking in” so good!
I’ve known GrubHub to manage customer support fast and friendly during my ordering process. However, I HAD to share this “checking-in” email that I received from them recently. I’ll let the copy speak for itself on why I found it sharable! Hopefully you get a little chuckle from it too.
The only thing they could have done better, is if when I selected “Our relationship grew too expensive for my taste”, they would have offered a discount code along with their suggestions for ordering based on price. That would have been a great call-to-action – discount codes for loyal customers can go a long way!
A lesson to be learned here folks is that by checking-in with your customer periodically, you can show them that you truly care. We love sending hand-written notes in the mail, but you can also send a fun and friendly email like GrubHub did here, or even just a one-to-two sentence note.
